Getting Started

To use CareTeam you will need a smart device such as a phone or tablet that is connected to the internet via Wifi or 4G phone signal. Careteam enables users to create teams of carers who are involved in the help or care of an adult.

If you are new to Careteam there are three steps to start using the app:

1. Firstly create a CareTeam
2. Invite other carers to join it
3. Carers accept their invitations

How to create a CareTeam

1.

Go to the app store and download and install the Careteam App

2.

Open the Careteam App

3.

Click “Create Careteam”

4.

Fill in your details and click “create CareTeam”

5.

You will then receive an invitation email (and text if you registered your mobile phone number), which includes a 3 letter log in code

6.

Use the code to log into the CareTeam App

7.

You can then invite others to join your team using the big “+” button and choosing “new team member”. See also “How to invite other team members”

How to invite other team members

1.

Click on the big “plus” button

2.

Choose “new team member”

3.

Add in the carer’s name, email address, mobile phone number and access level. 

4.

Click “save”. The person you have invited will then receive an invitation email.

How to accept an invitation to join a CareTeam

If someone has invited you to join their CareTeam you will receive an invitation email. If you are expecting one but haven’t received it please check your spam filter.

1.

Download and install the Careteam App from the app store

2.

Open the CareTeam app

3.

Click “sign in”

4.

Add the 3 letter code from your invitation email

5.

Click “sign in”

6.

You will be signed into the CareTeam app where there will be an invitation message. Click on the message

7.

Click “Accept invitation”

How to edit your profile

1.

Choose the “team” option from the bottom menu

Choose your profile

Click on the edit icon

4.

Edit your details

5.

Click save

How to leave a careteam

1.

Choose the “team” option from the bottom menu

2.

Choose your profile

3.

Click on “leave”

How to view my phone calendar in CareTeam

1.

Choose the “team” option from the bottom menu

2.

Choose your profile

3.

Choose “show phone calendar”

How to create an update

1.

Click on the big “plus” button

2.

Choose which type of update you want to add – e.g. a message or new calendar event

3.

Type in your message (or details calendar event, task etc.)

4.

Click “send”

How to view sensor information and configure alerts

If you have sensors installed you can view the data and configure alerts as follows:

1.

Click on the menu button on the top left

2.

Choose “sensors”

3.

Here you can view graphs of temperature and motion

4.

To change the alert settings click the settings icon

5.

Amend the settings to your preferences

6.

Click “save”

How to leave feedback

1.

Click on the menu button on the top left

2.

Choose “help and feedback”

3.

Type in your feedback

4.

Click “send”

How to sign in

1.

Open up the CareTeam app

2.

Click “sign in”

3.

Click “send me a sign in code”

4.

Enter your email address and click “Request a sign in code”

5.

You will receive an email with a 3 letter sign in code. Enter the code

6.

Click “sign in”

How to sign out of CareTeam

CareTeam has been design so that you remain signed in at all times. If you do need to sign out, for example so that someone else can sign in to check their messages here is how to do it.

1.

Go to the “team” menu option at the bottom

2.

Choose your profile

3.

Click on “sign out”
